I've been dealing with some rather dubious practices from an advertising firm. They promised my advert would be featured in HWRK magazine for a single fee, but lo and behold, two months later, they’re back at it, demanding more money - it’s a complete con! The same chap called me first from the magazine and then again claiming to be from the accounts department. He comes across as incredibly pushy, trying to wrangle my card details out of me. It’s alarming to know that I've come across accounts of him scamming money from other unsuspecting folks, even swindling someone’s father-in-law out of thousands! He claimed my advertisement was “live,” yet there’s absolutely nothing online as he assured me there would be. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this smooth-talking trickster!
