I got a voicemail from this number when I was trying to fix a billing mistake with Talk Talk. The bloke on the message called himself Tej and said he was handling my issue, but I haven’t had any update since then!

This number keeps calling and texting me, but they haven't given me any proof they're actually from TalkTalk. I’ve just blocked them.

I got a call from Talktalk, this guy called Nathan was pushing me to sign up to a 24 month contract, and get this, it was for just £2 cheaper than what I’m already paying! He was proper rude when I said no, really bad attitude about it. Not impressed at all!

I got a text supposedly from TalkTalk saying they've spotted a fault that might be affecting my service. The message said an Openreach engineer will come to sort it out in 2-3 working days, and that I wouldn’t need to be home unless they arrange a visit. They also mentioned I’d get updates directly from Openreach and that I could now chat with them on WhatsApp, with an invite link coming soon. It sounds a bit fishy though - not sure if it’s legit or just a scam. Has anyone else had something like this? Just wondering before I reply or click anything.

Got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk, wanted me to give out my name, address, postcode and even my landline number. Felt really dodgy to me.

Just changed my broadband from TalkTalk to a different provider and got a message from this number. Might be genuine, but I decided to block it just in case.

Got a text saying I needed to talk to TT about an upcoming disconnection. The number’s been flagged as suspicious on my phone, so I’m a bit unsure if it’s really from them or not. The call came just as we’re planning to switch providers, so maybe it’s genuine? Honestly, I don’t know what to think!

This number called me a couple of times and after checking the comments, I saw loads saying it’s a scam, so I just blocked it.

This number sent me a message, but when I replied asking who it was, they just wouldn’t say. Instead, they kept demanding all my personal info, which I wasn’t about to share without knowing who I was dealing with. Since they never revealed themselves, I ended up blocking the number and added it to my list of scammers. Funny thing is, the day before I got a text from Talk Talk too, but that was from a totally different number.

Received a call earlier asserting they were from TalkTalk. Funny enough, I had just extended my contract a few hours the same day. If they were indeed genuine representatives of TT, they would have been aware of my recent renewal. I've now added this number to my block list!

Got a message from this number saying they were from TalkTalk. Afterwards, they rang me on a landline 0161 850 8329, which could maybe be the TalkTalk loyalty department?

I've just had it with TalkTalk! I reached out to them to voice my concerns regarding the sluggish internet speed. After being a customer for ages, I've decided to terminate my account right away. Their recent text message raised my eyebrows; it seemed rather dodgy. No indication of who sent it or where it came from, and my name or account details were conspicuously absent from the communication. Makes one wonder what’s really going on with TalkTalk, doesn't it?

Got a text from a number I don’t recognise and no clue why they sent it. Really confused about who it could be.

I received a message from this number regarding something called ‘Future Fibre’. I shot back an ‘OK’, but then things took a turn when they started probing for my personal account details. I quickly told them, ‘I’m not sure who you are’. Since then, silence! I'm going to check with TalkTalk to confirm everything, and if things don't add up, I'll report the number to 7726.

I received an email from TalkTalk regarding a Future Fibre upgrade, which I promptly rejected by clicking the DECLINE link. To my surprise, I then began receiving text messages from Openreach stating they were scheduled to come and install it! An engineer did arrive as planned, but he was from Kelly Communications and seemed utterly unaware of my cancellation. I confirmed via the "CHAT" feature on the TalkTalk website that I had indeed opted out. Shortly after, I started receiving odd texts requesting my full name and landline number - surely TalkTalk already has this information on file! They went on to say that I needed to verify my identity and grant access to my account in order to cancel the supposed order. Naturally, I refrained from sharing any personal information. Given that it seems impossible to return calls to the number provided, I can only conclude that either TalkTalk, Openreach, or Kelly Communications has inadvertently shared my mobile number with a scammer.

Got a text saying to get in touch with them about an order. Not sure what it’s about though, didn’t buy anything recently. Bit confusing really. Anyone else get something similar?

Got a text from TalkTalk about some upgrade info, asking me to ring them on a number they gave. After seeing these reviews, I’m just gonna ignore it for now. I’ll give TalkTalk a call later myself to check if it’s legit or not!

Absolutely avoid these dreadful scammers masquerading as TalkTalk representatives. They completely messed up my home phone! I reported an issue with my internet, and they requested my mobile number. Next thing I know, I receive a text message from that same number. It's truly frustrating!

Could anyone tell me if this is a number associated with TalkTalk?

A number I'm unfamiliar with has bombarded me with texts-16 in just a couple of hours! Quite unusual, if you ask me.

Got a text from this number right after I phoned TalkTalk on my home phone. They kept sending me loads of texts. I was daft and gave them my name, my landline number and the model and serial number of my TalkTalk box. They stopped texting me around 10pm last night but started again this morning. I told them I’d be reporting them for scam calls.

I called TalkTalk about an issue and then got a text from this number.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT technical support, saying my internet might have been hacked or something!

My home phone rang and it was a recorded message claiming my IP address was hacked. It asked me to press '1' to fix the problem. I just hung up immediately, pretty sure it was a dodgy call. After that, I blocked the number and switched on callsafe for extra protection.

Got a call yesterday from BT claiming my internet was being hacked by people abroad. When I told her I already knew about the issue, she just ended the call straight away.

Had a call from a woman with an accent I couldn’t place, who claimed to be from guaranteed telecom. She was all about getting me to sign up for some nuisance call blocking, then suddenly she asked me to confirm my card details for the usual monthly phone charges. I was so caught up trying to figure out what she was saying that only after the call did I realise she’d been fishing for way too much info!

My landline rang the other day and it was one of those recorded messages claiming my IP address was at risk. They told me to press '1' to fix it, but I just hung up straight away - sounded like a dodgy scam to me. I’ve since blocked the number and activated the call blocking feature for peace of mind.

Got a call from some bloke with an English accent saying it was TalkTalk and that my internet was about to be disconnected. He told me to press 1 to speak to an engineer or 2 to disconnect it. Definitely a dodgy scam, don’t fall for it!

Just received a text saying my number couldn't be moved over to talk talk. I'd only just set up a legit account with them, so I replied. They then asked me to click a link and answer some questions, which I didn't trust and didn't click. Got a bit iffy and looked up the number - turns out it's a scam. Stay clear of this one!

Got a message saying some issues I supposedly raised about a service were sorted out, but I never actually complained to anyone. The text didn’t say what service it was or who sent it, which was pretty confusing.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Talk Talk, threatening to cut off my internet within a day if I didn’t talk to them. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

received a message supposedly from talktalk asking me to share personal info. i asked them for my account number and all they did was tell me to ring talktalk directly and kept pushing for my details. rang talktalk myself and they told me they never sent any message like that. then i tried calling the number back but it just wouldn’t pick up! definitely a scam.
