Absolute con artists. How come the cops haven’t cracked down on this rubbish? Saw a post on 11/10 that showed how to deal with these scams. Only just got around to following the advice. It was straightforward and there was plenty of space in the free form to add both phone numbers and the link info. This thread’s had close to 13,000 views now. Imagine if the police really got nearly 13,000 complaints about these fraud attempts trying to rip us off.

I got a text from this number saying I had a voicemail from "Jane" and if I wanted to "opt out", I had to email some shady address which would cost me £6!! There was probably a link in the message too but I didn’t tap it, just looked dodgy from the preview. I googled bitlyus and worked out it was a scam, then came across this site to report it. I’ve now deleted the message and blocked the number.

This number’s been involved in loads of scams for ages now. Seriously, the cops should shut it down already. But they can’t do much if people don’t bother to report it. It’s super simple to report these scams and you don’t even need to sign up for anything. Just google ‘action fraud’, go to the official police.uk page, click the ‘reporting’ tab, pick the phishing option from the dropdown and scroll past the email scam stuff to fill in your report. Stay careful out there and let’s all do our bit by reporting every single scam call we get.

Got a message about some urgent info regarding my order #12456. Since I'd bought something recently, I thought it might be legit, so I clicked the link. It ended up taking me to some weird ‘wish[###]’ site. So I just blocked the number immediately.
