Got a call from a woman speaking with an American accent, saying a letter from HMRC got sent back because it couldn’t be delivered. She told me to hit 1 to talk to someone from HMRC. Definitely a scam as all my HMRC stuff comes straight to my tax account via email.

Got a call from this number earlier, some automated voice saying I owe £600 to some firm in Manchester for an Amazon purchase. Thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account! Pretty clear scam to me.

I got a call from this number asking about my EE plan and then they tried to tempt me with a 40% discount. I just said no thanks and hung up straight away.

Heads up, these lot are scammers posing as immigration officials. From what I've seen, they seem to focus mainly on people from China. Watch out!

I got a call from 07378 419170 earlier today around 12.20pm on 16/12/22. When I picked up, there was silence, then the line went dead. My phone didn't mark it as a suspected scam or anything, which was a bit odd. I looked it up on Who Called Me but couldn’t find any info about that number so far. Later, I tried ringing it back with my number blocked, but it just wouldn’t go through. Strange one.
