I received a message from this number urging me to ring Halifax regarding a charge linked to the Apple store. Since I don’t even possess a Halifax debit card, it was clear to me that this was nothing more than a scam.

I received a text purporting to be from my bank, inquiring if I'd made a particular transaction. They instructed me to call a number for confirmation. However, when I contacted my bank directly, they confirmed they hadn't sent any such message. Clearly, this is a scam aimed at stealing your banking information. I'll be reporting this to the authorities.
