Got a message from this number saying I can get my voicemail from poppy if I call 09826523217 or email to stop marketing calls. Don't know what that's about at all, so I’m not gonna bother calling or emailing.

Got a text from this number saying I've got a voicemail. No way I'm clicking it though, my voicemail's never been active so they can't have left anything. Pretty sure it's dodgy.

Got a call pretending to be from gov uk, but it's clearly a scam so don't bother clicking anything. I checked the genuine coronavirus alert from the government and noticed they use a hyphen between gov and uk. This fake one just had a space. Hopefully that’s not enough to let them get away with scamming people out of money. It’s crazy how these scammers still manage to stay hidden and dont get caught!

On the 13th of May, I got a message from this number too. It seemed like a scam right away, but I can see how some folks might fall for it if they’re not careful.

Just got a call from my mum, she’s 78, saying she got the same message. Told her to not click on anything and to just delete it straight away. Told her if it were legit, it wouldn’t come through email like that.

This is definitely a scam, I looked it up on the gov.uk site. If you were owed a refund, they’d send you a letter, not a text. You should report any dodgy texts, calls, emails, or websites that seem fishy. Never share your personal info like bank details or passwords, and don’t reply to texts, open attachments, or click on links unless you’re totally sure they’re legit. Some websites, emails and numbers pretend to be official government contacts but really they’re just misleading and offer no real help.

Just got a call saying it's from the UK government about some rebate I supposedly have. They told me to click on a link, but I didn’t bother - it sounds like one of those dodgy scams to me. Be careful with these!
