Somebody rang me saying they were from HM Revenue & Customs and that I’m owed a tax rebate. The message included a link that looked like a proper government site. From what I know, HMRC would never get in touch like that, so it’s definitely a con.

Somebody said it was from HMRC? Honestly got me a bit worried, they told me I’m owed a tax refund and gave me a link which looked just like an official government site.

It was one of those dodgy calls claiming i was due a tax refund, then asking me for all my bank info and stuff... total scam. I’ve already flagged them up to the authorities. You lot should report it too, might help shut them down faster. Just don’t give them anything!
