received a call saying they’re from halifax ban, but they just want you to click some dodgy link. it’s clearly a phishing attempt. best steer clear of it completely.

Got a text supposedly from HMRC saying I was owed a tax refund and to click a link. Turns out I *was* expecting a refund, but HMRC has never sent me a message like that before, they just put the money straight into my bank. Not sure if it was just a lucky guess because they knew I’d done my tax return or if it was pure coincidence.

Received a message about an issue with my PayPal, it had a link so I clicked it and it asked for info. I didn’t put anything in, but a bit later noticed three payments taken from PayPal by someone named Marcus Diaz. Definitely avoid opening any texts from 07377911080, it’s dodgy.

Got a call from this number but no message left. When I called back, it was another spam caller. They didn’t want to say what their company was about, maybe because my number was hidden. Ended up blocking them, so I doubt I’ll hear from them anymore.

Got a text saying my PayPal payment failed and there was a link to fix it. It seemed fishy so i just deleted it right away, didn’t click anything. Checked my actual PayPal account and everything was fine. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I didn’t get a call but a text from this number on my phone. It said something like, "Your PayPal account has been restricted because of a failed payment. Please visit https:/pp-id36[###1/.p=4 to remove the limits." Sounds dodgy to me - I haven’t used PayPal since Christmas and I ain’t got any credit with them either. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
