On Monday morning, the 20th of April, I got a call on my mobile but nobody left a message. Felt a bit dodgy, probably some kind of scam.

Some bloke rang me saying my SIM card was expired and that they’d sort me out with a free upgrade. Couldn’t quite make out which company he said he was with, maybe Three or something? I didn’t really say much, just kept quiet, and he kept going on like, "Hello? Are you there?" I just thought, well yeah, I’m listening, just not gabbing back. Seemed like he wasn’t used to someone staying calm and not answering straight away. Had a few calls from three similar numbers before, but this was the only one where the person actually spoke.

Got a call from some scammer claiming to be Visa/MasterCard’s fraud department. They said there was an £800 suspicious transaction to Remit and told me to press 1 to chat with their fraud team. Total nonsense, just a recorded message trying to trick me.
