Got a call from Sky after about three rings, even though we’re not even subscribed to their service.

It only rang three times on my home phone and I didn’t pick up.

Honestly, just hang up straight away or better yet, don’t even pick up. If you do, never ever share your info with them. Just tell them to buzz off, they’re total scammers!

Somebody called claiming to be from Sky. I’d just cancelled my contract with them the day before, so I was confused. She said I needed a replacement card, which didn’t make sense since I was leaving. She sounded convincing, knew my name and address, then asked for my date of birth - which I stupidly gave. After that, she started asking about my bank details. She already had my sort code and the last four digits of my account number, then wanted the first four digits. That was the point I ended the call. I’m really mad at myself for handing over my DOB in the first place.

A supposed Sky rep called me, told me I'd get a new card soon, but the name and address they had were all wrong. Strange one!

I received a call at 11:18 in the morning from someone claiming to represent Sky. They informed me that my viewing card was on the verge of expiring and sought to verify my bank information. I was wary and declined to share any details over the phone. After that, they simply hung up on me. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
