Got a dodgy text saying I'd paid Superdrug from Barclays, which was totally fake. Then I got a ring from a private number. The bloke on the phone sounded British and claimed someone tried to open a new card in my name. I told Barclays about it and they confirmed the number was linked to a scam, they've noted it down now. Just because they talk proper English doesn't mean it’s legit. Best thing is to hang up and ring your bank using the number on your card from a different phone.
