Got a call from someone saying they were with RBS Fraud Team. They spoke to my elderly dad about some suspicious activity on his account, then started asking for stuff like the account balance and what my mum’s maiden name was. They even asked if I knew Dad’s card PIN, which seemed totally off. When I took the phone, the guy got really nasty and started blaming me for something. Later, he rang again, this time just asking Dad directly for his PIN. I checked with the bank and they confirmed they’d never ring customers on mobile phones like that.
