Someone called me pretending to work for o2, saying they were swapping SIM cards and offering to do it free over the phone. They said if I contacted o2 myself, they would charge me. They made it sound urgent, claiming my current SIM would soon stop working. It was obvious a scam, but I can imagine older folks might easily get fooled by it. I couldn’t stick around long enough to hear what info they wanted or how the con worked exactly, so I don’t have more to share.
