Got a call from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse trying to sell me a phone upgrade with my mobile provider. Thing is, my network doesn’t even deal with Carphone Warehouse, so it was obviously a scam.

So just past 11 on the 11th, I was out and BT Call Guardian blocked the call. The caller didn’t bother to leave a voicemail or anything. Kind of odd, if you ask me >:-)>

Got a call from some Asian bloke saying he was with TeamViewer. Rang my mate twice and tried to get her to link up her PC. Sadly, my elderly friend went ahead and installed the app. He mentioned he’d ring back the next day. I’ve since uninstalled the software and ran a Sophos scan - looks like everything’s cleared now.

Got a call from 07375791373 on 13/11/20 - I picked up but no one spoke, then the call just ended. I've had nearly half a dozen calls like this today but been tied up so didn't pick. Think this one was the same number. Pretty sure it's some kind of scam.

Yesterday I got like 6 calls from various numbers and guess what? It started up again this morning! They said it was SKY or something like that. Total rubbish! 😡

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with Sky Internet, saying my internet security wasn't up to scratch and that someone might be hacking into it. I wasn’t buying it and cut her off pretty quickly before she could say much more. They've been ringing me a bunch over the last two weeks, super annoying.

I told them I was busy in an online meeting and wasn’t interested, and asked them to take my number off their list since I never agreed to be called like this. They just hung up on me. Then about 30 minutes later, that same number rang again.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the "call blocking" team saying my subscription was about to run out and I needed to renew it right away. When I asked for more details, the guy said he worked for Ofcom and assured me the service worked with all phone companies. Oddly, he couldn’t give me the date of my last renewal because apparently, they didn’t have that info. Felt pretty dodgy to me.
