Got a call from this number earlier, and the person on the line said they were from HMRC, but with a really thick American accent. They kept saying some official letter "got returned," which sounded so wrong I nearly laughed. Surely it should've been "was returned" or "has been returned" if they wanted to sound proper. I just ended the call straight away. To me, it’s obvious this is a scam, and honestly, whoever’s doing this should get a fine - not just for the scam, but for butchering the English language too.
