Early on Sunday, I got a call from a bloke who kept cracking jokes and swearing at me before he just cut off.

I received a call and a message from 07368 997427 on bank holiday Monday around half past ten at night. It strikes me as pretty dodgy, particularly since the text included a link prompting me to pay £1.99 for a 'parcel' that I supposedly have held up. Given that I don't do online shopping and it's certainly not my birthday, I have no idea what they’re on about! I've since blocked the number-it just seemed too suspicious to entertain.

Got a call and a text from 07368 997427 on a bank holiday Monday around 10:39 pm. The message said I had to pay £1.99 for a parcel that was supposedly on hold. Didn’t seem right since I don’t order stuff online and it wasn’t even my birthday or anything. Definitely felt like a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were Royal Mail and wanted £1.99 to let me collect a parcel. Totally a scam. Really hope no one who's vulnerable ends up getting tricked by this.

I told the missus about this yesterday and she told me about her sis-in-law who works in the post office. Apparently, the Post Office itself doesn't do any deliveries of parcels or letters. It's actually Royal Mail or companies like Hermes, Amazon, ParcelForce that handle deliveries. So if you get a text from 'Post Office' it’s definitely a con. They don’t send texts, so watch out!

Said they were from the Post Office but I was home the whole day! If it was genuine, surely they'd have left a card or something through the door. The gate wasn't even touched. I'll be chatting with my sister-in-law who works there - pretty certain it’s just a con.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the post office, said I needed to pay £1.99 for a redelivery of my mail. How on earth did they have my number if the mail wasn’t even delivered first? Seems dodgy to me. Be careful, sounds like a scam to me!
