Just like the couple of folks before me said, I got a call about being a close contact with someone who supposedly has the omicron variant. They were asking for my bank details, claiming it’s to stop identity theft. Luckily, I caught on quick and hung up before giving anything away!

Got a message from this number claiming I’d been near someone with the Omicron variant and telling me to get a free PCR test from http://nhs.portalsweb.co.uk. Turned out the link wasn’t legit at all. Be careful!

I got a call saying my account was on hold and I needed to get in touch with them. But I don’t even have an account with that bank! Total scam, so watch out!

Got a dodgy text claiming someone tried to make a payment from a brand new device in another country, asking me to tap a link if it wasn’t me. No way was it real - I don’t even hold an account with that bank they mentioned. Classic phishing attempt - definitely don’t fall for it or click anything!

Received a message from this number claiming it was from Nationwide about a new payee being added through my bank app. It said to click a link if I hadn’t authorised it. The link didn’t look like it belonged to Nationwide, just some random .com site. Pretty sure it’s a scam. Don’t press that link!
