Got a call on my landline yet again today. It was an automated voice from 07334662984 telling me I’m being billed £700 by Amazon for an iPhone 7 supposedly bought on my bank card. Then it said if it wasn’t me, press 1 to talk to an Amazon rep. What a load of rubbish. Please don’t get caught out by this scam, folks!

I picked up and there was nothing but silence at first, then after a little pause, some robot-y voice just said "goodbye". Couldn't be bothered so I blocked the number right away. Checked this site afterwards and glad to see I wasn't wrong about it. I just marked it as "unknown" since that was all I had to go on, not even looked at the reviews before.

Definitely a scammer on the line. They use some kind of auto dialling system to call loads of numbers all at once. The first person who answers actually speaks with the crooks, but anyone else who picks up just hears weird beeps or nothing at all. Best thing is to block the number and move on quickly.
