On 12th May 2026, around 3:25pm, I got a call from an Indian bloke claiming to be from EE. He said he could help me cut down my phone charges. Once I said I’m not with EE, he suddenly lost it and started swearing at me, telling me to go f##k myself before hanging up. Proper rude behaviour.

Somebody called saying they were from Vodafone, which is supposed to be my network, but it was actually a Sky UK Limited number? I didn’t chat with them for too long, so I never really got what they were after, but it felt dodgy for sure.

This bloke rang me up saying he was from my mobile company, Vodaphone. I asked him straight if he normally rings up folks and fibs to them, and he just admitted that he does. Then I asked if he was trying to con me out of money, and again, he said yes. Fair play to him, he was really polite about the whole thing. Honestly, it's a bit of a shocker to have a scammer be honest about what they’re up to.
