Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, saying my SIM would stop working in two days because of their merger with BT. I did a quick search and found out that while the EE-BT merger is real, scammers are using it as an excuse to steal personal info and phone PINs. They kept saying I needed a new SIM, had to switch my plan, or update my router because of the merger. I didn’t buy it and blocked the number straight away.

Kept hearing people in the background but all I got was them saying hello over and over.
