Got a dodgy text claiming to be from Halifax, with a link that looked a bit sus, so I didn't touch it. The message said something like: "Halifax Security: A new payee (MRS K ADAMS) was added from a new device using the Halifax app on 08/10/20 at 20:28. If you didn’t do this, please visit..." followed by a sketchy halifaxsecureonline website. Funny thing is, I don’t even have an account with Halifax. After I flagged it to my phone network, I just deleted the message. Heard from others that these kinds of scam texts are popping up from loads of different numbers too.
