Got a complaint from a client about this lot. She said they rang her claiming they were from my company, which they definitely werent. Looks like its the Claims Advisory Group, used to be called Claims Direct. Their site isnt working right now, but you can still find them on Companies House and linkedin.

Got a call from an unknown number I don’t recognise, and they hung up right away when I tried to pick up. After seeing what others have said, I’ve saved this number as a scammer in my phone, and I’m planning to have a bit of fun with them if they ring again.

Some bloke from overseas called me claiming he’s with Claims Advisory Group and said my PPI claim had been approved. Then he offered me £500. I told him I’m not involved in any claims or PPI stuff. After that, he said he watches me daily and knows where I live. He even said my address and talked about wanting to marry me and meet up. Then he started saying really nasty, creepy things. I couldn’t stand it and handed the phone over to my dad. Absolutely vile man!!!

It sounded like a call centre. Best to steer clear. When I answered, there was a pause, then someone came on with a bunch of background noise from a call centre. They asked me for my name but as soon as I asked who they were and what the call was about, they told me to get lost and just hung up!

I got a call from this number like 4 times yesterday and I was stressed thinking it might be someone from my family trying to reach me. I tried ringing back but either the line was busy or whoever picked up just hung up straight away. It's really irritating. After reading other people's comments about this number, it’s clear it’s a scam and the people behind it don’t care about upsetting anyone at all!

They phoned me twice over a couple weeks saying they were from a PPI company. Each time they mentioned a different sum and gave me a different reference number. After I shared some info, they then asked for my birthday, which I refused to give. As soon as I said that, they just hung up. Total scammers!

The caller never said which company they were from. They were looking for a specific person by name. When I asked who was calling, they just told me to f*** off. I asked them again to say it properly but they just kept saying f*** off over and over. I tried calling the number back and it came up as unknown.

I picked up on hands free while driving, he wanted me to confirm my name. Then my 9 year old said something, and suddenly he told me to f### off. I was like, what? Total scam - they told me I had a PPI refund of £2900.33 with some FCA75021 reference. When I refused to give out any personal info on the phone, the bloke said, ‘No worries miss, we’ll just send the PPI claim up your vagina, alright?’. I had to ask him to say that again because I thought I’d heard wrong - nope, he said the exact same thing twice, so I just ended the call. Proper creepy, make sure you block and report these people.

They said they were from a PPI claims company and told me I had £5200.23 to claim (gave a reference number LOP20059). They also knew my full address and door number. They asked me to verify my date of birth, but when I refused, they put me through to a woman who said she was the supervisor. She asked again for my date of birth and when I still wouldn’t say, she just hung up. It’s really unsettling how they already had my phone number, address, and postcode.

I told them there’s no way I’ll give that info over the phone and if they already have my details, send everything in writing. The woman kept insisting she had the info but couldn’t share it aloud. Total scam, no doubt about it!

Someone called saying I had £4000 in PPI compensation, then started asking for my birth date and if I was married. Felt dodgy straight away. I told them I thought it was a scam and they didn’t seem too happy. Didn’t bother hanging around for when they’d probably ask for my bank details, but I just knew that’s where it was heading.

Got a call on my work phone (I’m in the Civil Service) from someone saying I’d got a £4000 cheque from a recent PPI claim. They wanted me to note down the claim number and give my address and other personal info to send the cheque out. I’ve never made a PPI claim, or taken any kind of loan for that matter, so I told them it was very unlikely the CS would be involved. The caller got annoyed when I said they were mistaken and told them not to ring again. They said they’d tear up the supposed 'cheque' and I’d lose out on the £4000. Then they just hung up.
