Got a voicemail about some activity over £3,000 on my account, said to press 1 to talk to someone if I hadn't made the transactions. Didn't say which bank it was from though. I just blocked the number and reported it straight away.

Got a message saying HSBC: Payee MR C JONES requested something on my account via their mobile app. I’ve never used the HSBC app and while I was away, HSBC had a different phone number saved for me. Tried typing the link on my laptop but it just wouldn’t load. Plus, that number isn’t anywhere on HSBC’s official contact list. Feels dodgy to me.

Got a text claiming to be from HSBC, asking for my bank details to accept money from someone called C. Jones. Problem is, I don’t bank with HSBC at all. Then about an hour later, the exact same message popped up on a different number 07453390397. Bit fishy if you ask me!

Just received a text from someone named Mr C. Jones asking about my HSBC account. Thing is, I don’t even have an HSBC account! I didn’t click the link or anything, so watch out if you get the same.
