Got a text supposedly from HSBC saying someone added a payee named K Adams to my account and to check it at security.hsbc. Thing is, I don’t even bank with HSBC, so I realised straight away it was a scam.

Just got a message saying 'Payee request for Mrs K Adams on your account via your HSBC mobile banking. If this isn't you, go to: security.hsbcuk[###]nfirm-scurekey[###]'. Problem is, I don’t hold an account with HSBC, so it’s obviously a phishing attempt. Would seriously warn anyone else who gets this to avoid clicking on that link!

Got a text supposedly from HSBC saying I should review a payee on my account and follow a link to verify it. Totally feels like a scam trying to steal personal info. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HSBC, telling me they'd added a new payee to my account. They wanted me to click on a link to cancel it, but it was pretty obvious it was a scam trying to steal my bank info.

Got a text supposedly from HSBC, but it was totally off - didn’t even have my correct account name. It said a new payee had been added and told me to log in using an email link security.hsbcuk.secure-key-alerts[###]. Turns out, that link is flagged as a risky site. Definitely a scam!

They were just after my bank info, wouldn’t stop trying to get it from me.
