Got a call from some guy who sounded totally wasted, maybe off his head on something or proper hammered. All I could catch was him jabbering about roof insulation, windows, doors, and soffits, switching from one thing to another so quick. When I asked why he was mumbling so bad, he blamed it on the bloody hot weather! Told him to pull himself together and find a real job. Absolute con right there!!!

Got a call from a bloke, sounded like he was either really tired, a bit worse for wear, or purposely mumbling to hide his voice. He asked for me by name and wanted to know if I’d got their flyer about home repairs or roofing work. I told him I get tonnes of those and couldn’t recall his company. Then he said they were nearby, doing free quotes, but I just said I wasn’t interested. A minute later, he called back by mistake. Honestly, it felt like he wasn’t using his real voice or was trying to sound different.
