Got a text saying it was from giffgaff saying my SIM was being swapped and gave me a link to check it out. The link looked dodgy, going to some site called "giffgaff-uk help" which isn't the real giffgaff site at all. They were trying to get personal info too. Definitely a scam.

Got a call threatening me with a lawsuit over supposed unpaid taxes of £4200 from 2013 to 2018. Thing is, I wasn’t making enough cash those years to even owe tax. Utter nonsense. Just blocked the number straight away.

these people keep ringing me, claiming they're from hmrc and threatening to arrest me over some fake tax evasion issue. its really stressing me out now as they call me more than five times a day and always leave messages. definitely feels like harassment to me.

So this number 07366520574 called me and left a voicemail claiming I was facing tax evasion charges with HM and that I'd be prosecuted. They never called back with my solicitor or anything. Got two calls like this in the space of a week. Luckily, I knew it was a con, otherwise as an elderly person, it would have made me feel really scared and unsafe.

Someone rang me claiming they were from HMRC and accused me of tax evasion, which was odd since I'd only just received a tax refund! I didn't bother calling back - probably one of those rip-off lines that charge about £10 a minute.

I phoned the number back and ended up speaking to a really intimidating bloke who told me I’d be nicked in 30 minutes for dodging tax.

I've had calls from this number claiming to be the tax office, but it's definitely a scam. Do yourself a favour and block it straight away.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I have a lawsuit against me. Honestly, if it was real, they wouldn’t leave a message on a mobile phone voicemail, would they? Definitely just a rubbish scam.
