Got a text about claiming Winter Fuel Allowance for last year, says I have to apply by 9th May or I’ll miss out. It claims it’s from the DWP, but the logo doesn’t match the usual one. I looked up the official government site and the deadline was ages ago, so I’m pretty sure it’s a con. Plus, I’m not even eligible for it anyway. The link they want you to click looks really dodgy too.

I looked it up on the gov site and found that the deadline had passed weeks ago, so it seems dodgy to me, especially since I’m not eligible anyway. Plus, the link they included looked really sketchy and suspicious. Definitely smelt like a scam to me.
