Got a message from 07366264201 saying something about the Department of Pensions and Benefits. It claimed I haven’t applied for the Winter Allowance for 2024-2025 and that if I don’t apply by 26 April 2025 I won’t get between £200 and £300. The text even included a dodgy link to apply. Honestly, I’m not even close to retirement, I’m still working and have no disabilities, plus I was under the impression the government scrapped this winter allowance a while ago. HMRC wouldn’t send out a shady message like this, so I’m ignoring it completely.
