Totally agree with what the person on 14/05 suggested. Absolute genius move. I do the same every time I get a scam call. The worst are those from India. Just sit down by your computer and follow my advice. It works brilliant!

SCAM - Just hang up! I picked up and there was silence, then some bloke started asking if I’d been in a car accident recently (which is mad because I dont even own a car). He ended the call quick after that. Dont bother wasting your time on this.

Typical insurance scam. Got two calls a few days apart (17th and 20th March 2016) - both with that annoying call-centre background noise, way louder than the caller themselves. Missed the intro the first time, but the second time they said they were from "UK Insurance Limited". Both times they went on about some "recent accident" I was involved in, but couldn’t give any real info about who I was or what accident it was. After I kept pressing them for details, they just ended the call on me. Very dodgy.

This number kept ringing my landline, I answered with a hello but no one spoke, just loads of noise in the background like a hectic call centre - sounded like it was from abroad. When I tried calling it back, the line just disconnected straight away.

A few days back I got a call from some bloke talking about an accident I supposedly had, which I hadn’t. He spoke with a strong Indian accent and kept bombarding me with questions about this so-called accident. After a while, I told him straight up I knew it was a scam, then he just ended the call. Haven’t heard from them since.

Got a call from an Asian bloke on my unlisted number, which I’ve registered with the Telephone Preference Service. At first, it was just quiet, but when I said "Hello" again, he went on and on about some accident. I said, "You’re a scammer. Don’t call this number again. Got it?" He just hung up straight away.

Got a call on my landline, which isn’t listed, at about 7.50pm tonight. Thought it might be a mate, so I answered without checking who it was. At first, no sound at all, I had to say “hello?” a few times. Then this Asian bloke said “hello how are you?”. Didn’t let him go on and cut him off straight away. Looked up the number afterwards since it wasn’t familiar.

Got a call on my landline tonight, 19th March about 6.09pm from 07364527849. I picked up but all I got was dead silence, really irritating. I used 1471 to see who it was, then hit 3 to ring back but it said the number isn’t recognised, to check and redial. Tried writing it down and dialing manually but same thing.
