Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds Fraud team, saying there’s suspicious activity on my account. Then they started asking about buying British Rail tickets, which made me suspicious straight away. Definitely sounded dodgy to me, so I just hung up. Don't fall for it, they’re just trying to trick you.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone, telling me I had some credit and a free month's service waiting. She said she’d send me a text I needed to read back to her. I fibbed and told her I’m not with Vodafone. Then she started asking which provider I use, wanted info on my plan and was sending codes to my phone about the free month deal. I ended the call right away - this is definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Some bloke rang me saying he was with Three and had a cracking deal to save me loads on my phone plan. Thing is, I’ve been on pay as you go for nigh on 20 years. He spoke with a really strong Indian accent and said his name was Peter Parker. I couldn’t help myself and answered with, “Cheers, Spider-Man,” before hanging up. Looking back, I probably should’ve kept him on the line just to see what nonsense he’d come out with next. By far the funniest scam call I’ve had. Definitely don’t share any of your info with these types!
