Thought it was dodgy from the start but wanted to check anyway! A lady with an Asian accent rang saying she was from Vodafone (which I actually use for my broadband). She told me I’d been picked for a 40% cut on my bill 😂 yeah right! I just hung up. Pretty obvious they were after my bank info.

Got a call claiming to be from O2 saying my SIM would be disabled in a couple of days. They asked if my internet was running slow and mentioned they’d sent a replacement SIM in the post. I didn’t really confirm anything, just gave vague replies like “okay” and “sounds good.” Then they wanted to know if I was with Vodaphone, and when I told them they said O2, the caller - who sounded Asian - just ended the call. Definitely a scam, so don’t share any of your info with these types.

Got a call from some dodgy number and the person on the other end refused to say who they were. Total spam.

I got a call from a woman but I couldn’t really make out what she was saying - there was loads of noise and people shouting in the background. I asked her a few times who she was, but I just couldn’t catch her name. It sounded like one of those “is this [first name]?” type calls. Maybe it was one of my names but not the one I normally go by. After I told her I don’t take calls from anyone who won’t say who they are, she just hung up.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from O2, wanted my account password. Total scam. The bloke spoke with a thick Indian accent but used names that sounded really English. Watch out!
