I got two calls from this number, and they said they were a charity helping doctors in London with Syria relief. The odd thing is, I’d just filled out a petition for the same charity and put in my phone number, so at first, I thought it was legit. But now I’m getting second thoughts because I’ve seen loads of different stories from other people who got called by this number. Most people don’t even answer, so it’s hard to tell what’s going on. I did give them a bit of my card info to set up a $30 monthly donation, but so far nothing’s been charged. Not sure if I should be panicking and cancel stuff straight away or wait. Any advice would be great, thanks in advance!

This number rings me up every afternoon, but they never bother to leave a message. I guess it's some kind of telemarketing call, which is pretty irritating. Seems I was right about that!

So irritating, these scammers just keep dialling from loads of different numbers. I don’t even pick up anymore and just block each one, but it’s a nightmare keeping up with all of them. It feels like nothing’s done to stop this mess.

They keep ringing me up asking if I’ve recently had a car smash. I keep telling them no, but then they ask if I’m absolutely certain or if maybe someone else in my family has been involved. They don’t just ring my mobile, they call the house too.

Lately I've been receiving about 2 or 3 calls every day. Whenever I pick up, the caller just hangs up straight away. I even set my phone to go straight to voicemail and got a hang up again. Then I started getting texts from something called call catcher. When I rang the number back, a recorded message said the calls were from a charity, but didn’t say which one, and gave a scrambled email to opt out. I've blocked their number and tried opting out through call catcher, but they still ring me at all sorts of times. Really want them to just stop calling.

My phone rang but before I could pick up, it just stopped. When I dialled the number back, a voicemail played saying they’d tried to reach me and mentioned something about calling on behalf of a charity I might’ve donated to before, but no specific name was given. They told me if I wanted to stop future calls I should email [email protected]. I haven’t sent any email yet since I’m unsure if I’ve got the address right and I don’t want to give them my email unnecessarily. My number’s on a do-not-call list and years ago I decided to support only one charity, so I’m really doubtful they got my details from any past charities I helped.
