He told me they’d been reviewing my accounts for the last five years and said I was owed a refund of £825. Then he asked me to provide my credit card info so they could send the refund straight to my card.HMRC4 yearsIt was a bit dodgy tbh, as soon as I answered they just straight up asked for my address and postcode. Then they went over my order but quickly switched to trying to push some McAfee protection and a helpline. Didn’t bother asking if I wanted it, just told me to punch in my bank card details. I said no thanks, and when they asked why, I gave them a reason and they just left it at that.McAfee4 yearsGot a call from someone using my name and phone asking if I was interested in home insurance (never even looked into it before!) and then they pushed other insurance offers too. When I asked how they got my number, the lady just made up some story about a guy and cut off the call as soon as I got suspicious.
