Just another annoying spam call.

so this morning i got a call from someone claiming i’d been exposed to loud noise at work (which is rubbish). they sounded like they were trying to pitch some sort of compensation claim. i bet they were about to ask for my bank info or something. when i questioned where they got my number, they just ended the call. without a doubt, it’s a scam, so if you get a call like this, just put the phone down!

I received a call at my residence from this number. Upon picking up, there was a brief, unrecognizable noise-perhaps the beginning of a pre-recorded message-before the line went dead. Quite puzzling! Same experience here. 03/05/2022.

I think this number might be from a business, but I couldn’t find anything about it online. Has anyone else dealt with this one? Just a heads up - if they ring you, it’s probably a shared cost number, so it’s best not to return the call.

So, these folks who barely spoke any proper english kept ringing me up 9 times within just a couple of hours! I kept saying over and over that I never asked for a loan and to please take me off their list. Honestly, it was pretty annoying, and I reckon a few people might have felt a bit intimidated by how persistent and robotic they sounded reading from their script.

Today I rang British Gas and about an hour later got a call from this number, but I was busy on another line at the time. When I tried calling back, there was a message saying it was British Gas checking up on my satisfaction with a recent interaction I had with them.
