Got a WhatsApp message claiming to be from Barclays about some PPI thing and telling me to click a link. When I asked them where their office was, they just went quiet even though it showed they’d read my messages. Turns out the “consulting firm” they said they worked for is actually being wound up and might shut down soon. Best to just ignore these lot, they’re not to be trusted.

So this caller says, “according to our info, you could’ve worked in heavy industry.” I asked, “Oh yeah? Which industry exactly?” Then all I got was some weird mumbling noises and they just abruptly ended the call. Proper scam, that one.

I didn't find any voicemail waiting for me, and it seems like there's nobody on the other end when I pick up.

I've had this number calling me repeatedly over the past couple of days, but whenever I answer, there's silence on the other end. What’s more, when I try to return the call, it won’t go through at all. It’s really frustrating, especially since these calls are coming through on my landline and not my mobile, making it impossible for me to block them.

Did anyone else manage to get through to them? I dialled this number but kept getting a message saying it’s not in service. Seems like the number doesn’t actually work. Maybe it’s just some call centre using a one-way phone line.

The caller was really pushy and quite rude on the phone. I told them I'd report them under GDPR laws, but they just brushed it off like it didn’t matter. Each time, the company name they gave was different, so it seems they think EU laws (especially now the UK isn’t really following EU rules) don’t apply to them at all! They’ve been calling me with various numbers for nearly a year, completely ignoring that I want my details removed and that they shouldn’t bother again. I’d advise blocking those numbers straight away.
