Beware, I just had a call from a woman claiming to be Amazon saying someone tried to buy a £600 phone using my account. I asked questions because I hadn’t received any confirmation email and nothing showed up as pending in my Amazon orders. She then sent a code to my phone, which was actually a SIGN-IN code, clearly saying “do not share this with anyone.” I didn’t give it to her and she immediately ended the call. I reached out to Amazon myself and they confirmed they never make calls like this. Definitely a scam! They sounded quite convincing though, so watch out!

No matter how many times I block these numbers, the calls keep coming through, so I'm pretty sure they're faking the caller ID. I've tried telling my phone company about it, but honestly, they don't seem bothered at all.
