Some bloke called Michael Bryant rang up, claiming he was sending bailiffs after my 82-year-old dad for £1800 over an unpaid invoice tied to his business. He started rattling off the company’s name behind the CCJ and explained why the money was owed, even gave me what he said was a personal bank account to pay into. I didn’t buy it and spent about 40 mins prying for more details to catch him out. Since then, they've phoned a couple more times from different numbers, still going on about the bailiff threat.
