Got a text from this number early this morning around 6:20am claiming to be Evri, saying they couldn’t find me home to deliver a package. The message included a dodgy link too. Watch out, this looks like a new trick they’re trying!

On 19/07/2023 I got a message saying something like 'Mum or Dad, I've changed my number to 07494780615, whatsapp me so I know you got this'. I had a proper look through my contacts and couldn't spot anyone it might be. Then I decided to check this site and wow, loads of people have flagged it as shady. Honestly, where do these scumbags even come from? It’s annoying there’s not tougher laws to deal with this junk. I’ve blocked the number now.

Just block the number and send any spam texts to 7726. You should also drop an email to your MP asking a couple of questions: why can’t we report scam calls directly through the police's Action Fraud site anymore, and why hasn’t the phone industry rolled out Caller ID Authentication tech to cut down on these pesky calls? For scam emails and screenshots of text scams, forward them to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it.

Received a text from this number that read, "Hey Mum, I'm using my mate's phone to message you; mine's completely smashed." The thing is, I don't have any children, so it's baffling what these con artists thought they could achieve with this ruse.

Got a call from 07359548184 where the person was acting like one of my kids, saying I should ring them on a mate's phone, number 07475089172. They also said that phone's battery was about to die. Felt a bit off to me.

This number is definitely a scam, trust me. Dont bother calling back or sending any msgs on whatsapp. Theyll probably try to trick you into giving them money somehow. Stay clear!

Like a few others have said, the text began with "Hey Mum, texting you from a mate's phone..." Thing is, none of my kids would send that. Plus, I'm a dad, not a mum! Pretty obvious it's dodgy, so I'm labelling it as risky.

Got a text off this number saying “hey mum, using a mate’s phone cos mine’s busted”. It’s popped up a few times already, but I’m definitely not anyone’s mum. Quite annoying really!
