I received a rather peculiar text from the number 07359236956, claiming to be from Santander Bank. They were alerting me to a “highly questionable” transaction linked to my account involving a merchant called “HiSmile.” I’d strongly advise blocking this number immediately. They requested a reply with either “Y-Yes” or “N-No,” but please, whatever you do, don’t respond!

Got the same message as loads of others have mentioned, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.

Just got a message claiming it's from Santander saying a £430 transaction to 'HiSmile' was tried. They asked me to reply ‘Y’ if it was me or ‘N’ if not, from +447947711013. Problem is, I don’t even have a Santander account! Looks like one of those phishing scams, so watch out and don’t respond.

Got a text claiming to be from Santander about a £430 payment to HiSmile. It said to reply ‘Y’ if I recognised it or ‘N’ if I didn’t, using +44 7366205611. The odd thing is, the messages came from two separate numbers. I don’t even have a Santander account, so I’ve just blocked both numbers straight away.
