Someone rang me saying they were from the ‘fraud team’ at my bank but never said which bank exactly. They said there were two unusual charges on my card - one was a £199 payment to Amazon and the other was an £899 transfer overseas to some company I’d never heard of. They told me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to speak to ‘the fraud department’. I just hung up and called 1471 to check the number myself. Totally a scam.
