Got a text claiming to be from track and trace saying I'd been near someone who tested positive for Omicron, telling me to order a test kit from a link they sent. I checked with the NHS track and trace and they told me it's a scam.

My phone has blocked loads of scam calls as spam lately, and this is just one example. It was supposedly from an unlisted track and trace service claiming I’d been exposed to Covid. Sometimes they even pretend to be my doctor! It’s really horrible and totally disgraceful. I’ve got a whole list of these dodgy numbers that I consider a threat, and I’m planning to report them to the police. When folks like me report these calls here, do they actually get dealt with? This kind of thing really needs to be cracked down on.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Financial 1 on 1, supposedly Manchester - but the number’s actually from Dunfermline, Fife. Told them I’ve no credit cards and never shared my number anywhere, asked how they fiound it, plus mentioned it’s on the TPS list. They refused to give any address, and when I tried to chat with their manager, they just hung up on me.

Got a text from smscaster.com, which looks like some bulk messaging service, but I reckon it’s being used by scammers. The message said I needed to get an Omicron test because I’d been near someone who’d tested positive. Right after that, it started asking for my bank info and stuff. Honestly, looks like a total con. Better not click any links if you get anything like this, people.
