Got a text saying it was from British Gas asking for a small payment I supposedly owed. I logged into my British Gas account directly on their real site and saw my balance was clear, nothing outstanding. Then I looked at the link they sent, which was something like "britishgas-support[###)" and it was a complete copy of the real site. Definitely a scam message, so watch out for this kinda thing.

I got a text from this number saying I owed £2.99 for some Royal Mail shipping fee, but I hadn’t ordered anything at all. Definitely a scam, so I just blocked them straight away.

Don't fall for this, it ain't Royal Mail at all - just another phishing trick. Best to just delete the message and not respond.
