Then he suddenly started chatting about life insurance and said if I spent around £9 or £10 today, I’d get the full payout. When I asked which company he was from and if he was connected to the PPI claim I’d already done paperwork for, and if he could send info by post, he just hung up. However, as the conversation progressed, the caller began to mention that if I transferred £925 to a bank account, it would somehow facilitate the claim. It then took a bizarre turn when they started probing about life insurance, suggesting that if I spent £9-10 today, I would be eligible to receive the full amount. Naturally, I pressed for details about the company they were representing and whether it was linked to the PPI claim for which I had submitted all the necessary documentation. The moment I mentioned sending the information by post, the caller abruptly ended the call.
