Got a random message sayin "Hi Dad, this is my new number." Asked my kids and they said it’s not from any of them. Strange!

I got a text from this number saying “hi mum, this is my new number, please save it.” The funny thing is, I don’t even have any kids 😂

So this caller said it’s their new number, then they straight up started asking me to send money. They were pretending to be someone I know, but it seemed fishy to me. Definitely a scam trying to get a bank transfer out of me.
