I’m pretty sure this was a scam. Someone rang me from the number 07355 547 540 claiming to be from Nationwide, saying a direct debit for £259.99 was arranged in my name. They told me to ring 0203 750 8901 if it wasn’t me. I got suspicious straight away and checked with my bank, who confirmed it wasn’t legit. They've made a note of both these numbers and have reported it on their end.
