I received a message from this number claiming to be my daughter, using her name and asking me to reach her on a different phone number. Instead of calling, I sent a text to that number. The reply stated she was really distressed and had damaged her phone. Naturally, I checked in with my daughter directly on her own phone, and she seemed perfectly fine - nothing amiss at all! This really leaves me pondering - how on earth did they know my daughter’s name?

Got a text from someone claiming to be my daughter saying her phone was acting up and she needed help. Felt a bit off about it.
