Got a call that sounded like it was from Amazon, saying my Prime would renew automatically for £79.99, and that I should press 1 to talk to someone about my account. I actually pressed 1 and had a go at the poor scammer on the line - felt good to give them a taste of their own medicine. Earlier this year, 'Which' did some research on this exact scam and told Amazon, who then confirmed they'd never get in touch like that. For me, it was obvious because I pay for my Prime monthly, so there’s no way it would ever auto-renew on my card! Absolute scoundrels!
