Got a text that said "hey dad, I’ve got a new number, please click this WhatsApp link so I can message you there." Then on WhatsApp, the message was all about being stressed because the bank won’t let them transfer money since the number changed, asking me to do the transfer instead. Pretty clear it was a scam - my kids wouldn’t ask me to handle anything like that. Double checked with them and yup, definitely a scam.
