On Thursday, the 27th of January 2022, my wife received a rather dubious text message between 8 and 9 in the evening. It claimed to be from the NHS, suggesting that she or her mobile had been in close contact with someone who tested positive for Omicron. Naturally, we were a bit suspicious, considering we’ve hardly been out and about due to various persistent health issues well before Covid even came into the conversation. For a brief moment, it did make us ponder though. After a quick search of the number +447355035505, I realised it was definitely not linked to the NHS, prompting my wife to delete the message straightaway. Utter nonsense, I tell you! I can only guess that clicking on that link might have opened the floodgates for hackers or could even be a ploy to skew figures. Just a word of caution: think twice before you click! We’re all facing some form of attack, regardless of our vaccination status, age, race, wealth, or nationality.
