Got a call from this number claiming to be BT. They had called me yesterday from another number. When I confronted them about it being a scam, they rudely told me to be quiet and just ended the call.

On 1st April 2019 around 10:37am, I let the phone ring through to my voicemail but then the person calling just ended the call.

So, this caller claimed there was an issue with my BT router and said they needed to log into my computer to sort it out. Sounds dodgy, right? I could tell straight away it was some sort of call centre bloke trying it on. I played along, acted all surprised and thanked him for the heads up. Then when he said he could fix it, I asked him to confirm my address. Boom, he ended the call immediately. Yeah, wasn’t surprised one bit.

On Thursday, I got calls from different numbers, and they wanted me to give them access to my computer to fix some issue with my hub. I was curious about what they really wanted to do. The call got cut off, so I figured they had given up. But then they kept ringing me back non-stop for about ten minutes, so I just hung up each time. Eventually, I answered and told them to stop calling as I wasn’t going to agree to anything. After that, they finally stopped. I was away all weekend, and now I see another call from this same mobile number.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent, saying BT found someone using my broadband and offered to fix it. I said thanks and that I'd get in touch with my internet provider, which, surprise surprise, isn't BT. Then they quickly hung up.

Had a call from some bloke I don’t recognise, sounded like he was from India or somewhere. Anyone ringing out of the blue and checking in on me? Nah, that doesn't fly. I just told him I was alright until he interrupted me, then ended the call. I’m on the TPS list, so really they shouldn’t be bothering me at all. Whatever scheme or sales pitch they had planned, they’re wasting their time. Just a nuisance, really. I flagged it as harassment, though I didn't give him the chance to carry on.
